France - Chambreteau, La Rochelle, Bordeaux to Biscarrosse

Our next stop was at La Rochelle, back on the coast of France, and into the region called Poitou-Charente. The water was a lovely turquoise blue colour and the city with its protected harbour was behind the ancient medieval walls and fortifications.
